Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is included in your Interior Deluxe Detailing Package?
- Our car interior detail is comprised of 3 core components revolving around sanitising, restoring and protection. Breaking this further down, our first stage involves removing rubbish, vacuuming and wiping down hard surfaces using a dedicated APC solution. The restoration step involves agitating stains, followed by a deep shampoo and extraction (carpet, seats and mats) for upholstery surfaces. Should the seats be comprised of leather, then we apply a leather clean and care solution that cleans and protects the surface from ageing effects. Our protection is achieved through the use of specific dressings for hard surfaces.
Q: Can you remove all stains?
- Much like your clothing, carpet and so on, not all stains can be 100% removed due to various factors. Some stains may have penetrated deeply into the fabric or material, making complete removal challenging. Additionally, the type of stain, the length of time it has been present, and the material it has adhered to can impact the removal process. Certain materials may be more prone to staining or may have specific characteristics that make complete removal difficult without causing damage. Although we do achieve fantastic results, we cannot always guarantee 100% removal, our process is the same for each and every vehicle, how well they turn out will often depend on how well they have been maintained prior to our service.
Q: What supplies do I need to provide?
- Our car detailers arrive entirely equipped, which means you do not have to supply any equipment or supplies. All we need are access points to an outdoor tap and powerpoint within a 20m distance.
Q: Can you remove all bad odour?
- Similar to stains, not all odours can be removed 100% of the time due to several reasons. Odors can permeate various materials and surfaces within the car, making complete removal a complex task. When an odour has permeated deeply into upholstery, carpets, or other interior materials, it can be challenging to entirely eliminate it, especially if the source of the odour is not readily identifiable or accessible.
- Generally speaking, our car odour removal package does achieve excellent results but much like any service, it cannot be guaranteed 100% of the time. If smells do linger after our service, this may indicate a more sinister issue at hand and may require replacement of affected car interior parts.
Q: How often should you get your car interior detailed?
- Car interiors should be detailed typically every 3 months, and more frequently if you have kids, pets, or exercise often, for several reasons. First, regular detailing helps maintain a clean and hygienic environment inside the car, reducing the accumulation of dirt, debris, and allergens that can affect air quality and overall comfort.
- Frequent detailing is particularly important for those with kids, as spills, crumbs, and messes can quickly accumulate, potentially leading to stains and odours that are more challenging to address over time. Similarly, pet owners may need more frequent detailing to remove pet hair, dander, and odours from the interior. Additionally, individuals who engage in regular physical activity may introduce sweat, dirt, and other residues into the car’s interior, necessitating more frequent cleaning to preserve a fresh and inviting environment.
- By detailing the interior every 3 months or more often as needed, you can prevent the buildup of stubborn stains, odours, and contaminants, prolonging the longevity of your car’s interior materials and ensuring a pleasant driving experience for you and your passengers. Regular detailing also helps maintain the value and appearance of your vehicle in the long run.
Q: Can you fix scratches in the interior?
- Unfortunately not. No matter how much cleaning is performed, scratches will still remain as this is due to abrasion/physical force as opposed to cleanliness.
Q: Can you treat stains on the roof lining?
- We can clean the roof lining, but it is a very tricky process. Because the glue that holds the roof lining is very thin and fragile, we cannot apply too much pressure or shampoo as to maintain the cohesiveness. So, depending if the stain is not too heavily etched in, we can most often remove the stains without any concerns. For tougher stains, they will be minimised. To have this treated, please add in the roof lining add on to your package. In some instances, if the roof is in a poor condition, we do recommend car roof lining replacement as an alternate option.

Car Interior Detailing Process
a) Use the right cleaning agents.
For example, using strong interior detailing agents on leather may clean it, but can also damage the quality by drying it out. Without the correct dilutions and product knowledge, you could risk damaging your seats. For example, you should avoid using ammonium-based window cleaners in your interior detailing service when they’re are fresh tints as this can be harmful.
b) Use the right equipment.
Using an upholstery shampoo and extraction machine or steam cleaner are very effective methods for deep cleaning upholstery. It removes dirt and grime at which a regular vacuum cannot remove and beyond what the eye can see. Better yet, they can remove stubborn stains and smells, while keeping your car sanitised – always shampoo car seats using the right tools.
c) Use the correct technique.
Similar to the above, you can cause permanent damage to your interior if you are not skilled in using the right products and equipment. Some chemicals in the right dosage and concentration can be harmful to inhale or be hazardous to your skin. One common example is scrubbing too hard on the roof lining, which can cause the glue that holds the material to the roof to weaken, creating that unappealing saggy roof.
d) Use the correct dilutions.
Interior detailing agents and shampoos are very effective at cleaning and removing stains and so on. However, use a concentration too high and you can permanently change the texture of the surface your cleaning and use too little, well you aren’t really cleaning much are you? Of course depending on the the material, different dilutions and concentrations are more suitable. For example, boat detailing tends to require higher concentrations as the surface is built to withstand heavier conditions than a car interior. That’s why using the right dilutions for the right products is crucial
